Jaguars weigh 200-250 pounds with a body length of 5-7 feet. Jaguars are the largest cats living in the wild in North and South America - and 3rd largest cat, after lions and tigers. Jaguars can live up to 25 years in captivity. In the wild the jaguar’s average lifespan is 12-15 years. Jaguars kill with either a bite to the neck or a crushing paw strike.
There are three species of zebras: Mountain, Plains, and Grevy’s zebras. For the most part, the different species cannot interbreed. Each zebra has unique stripes unlike any other zebra - like human fingerprints. Zebras are 4-5 feet tall at the shoulder.
Cougars Are Cool
Other names: cougars are also called pumas, mountain lions, panthers, and many more. The Guinness Book of World Records recognizes the cougar as the animal with the most names. Male cougars are 4 to 6 feet long (not including their tails that are about 2 feet long), weighing 150-230 pounds. Female cougars are 3-5 feet long, weighing 75-135 pounds.
